I just ran across a used 2006 JD 2305, 4WD, Hyrdo, w R4 tires, with 75 hours on it, and a 200X loader for $9950. Still has some factory warranty remaining on it. Does this seem like a fair price?

That doesn't sound too bad, but I think as close to new as the tractor is I'd build and price an identical one on the JD website then subtract 10% dealer discount on a cash deal and don't forget the sales tax you likely would pay on a new unit. As has been discussed here before, be pretty sure who you are dealing with and have some evidence you aren't buying a tractor with a lein on it that you aren't being told about, or worse yet a stolen unit on E-bay. Be carefull. Frank. ....

Thanks Frank. The quote on this unit is from a local John Deere dealer. ....

New list is probably about 14K or more. I would think you are 4K off list for 75 hrs. A good deal IMO.
I would prefer to have the 200CX loader as the ability to quickly remove it is nice for mowing the lawn. You might see what he would do on at loader swap. ....

You won't need to do a loader swap, the parts to make it a 200CX will only set you/him back a couple hundred. ....
